Icicle Cruise

On the first of January 3 boats actually sailed to the Icicle Cruise dinner at the Scarisbrick Arms. The first
time for many years that it has been physically possible to do so. The three boats were "SweetHeart"
(Commodore), "Goblin" (Jimmy and Pauline Woolfall) and "Rena Del Rio" (Stuart and Elli Gorme).

With one exception the food was found of a good standard, but towards the end the service was
somewhat slow and a bit disorganised, but generally everyone seemed to enjoy themselves with little sign
of the hangovers there should have been after the festivities of the night before! Thanks to everyone that
attended and made the cruise such a success.

Easter to Appley Bridge

This is our next cruise (followed one week later by the National Cruise to Aintree), more details regarding
these events will be posted on the club's notice boards nearer the time.

August Bank Holiday

This cruise is into Liverpool and coincides with the Matthew St Festival, it is a popular time for boaters to
go into Liverpool and as the bookings for 2012 are now being taken by BW you should submit your
applications (nb, two forms required) as soon as possible. There are blank forms in the clubhouse foyer,
and they can also be downloaded off the Waterscape website.
